INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Colts' offseason was already full of questions.

Monday's firing of Bill and Chris Polian will only add to the list.

Jim Caldwell and the assistant coaches are working in limbo, waiting to see if they'll be retained. The status of Peyton Manning remains cloudy.

It's unlikely any decisions about free agents will be made until a new general manager is hired, and owner Jim Irsay acknowledged Monday there is no timeline for a decision on his new hire.

With fans clamoring for changes after a stunning 2-14 collapse, just two years after winning an AFC title, Irsay didn't hesitate to shake up his front office.

Now Irsay intends to take his time finding a replacement, a delay that could complicate all those other choices.
